ERPlite Barcode Scanning Alternatives
Almost all Barcode reading and labeling products can be used and easily integrated with ERPlite (or an existing ODBC database).
Simple, inexpensive barcode
readers are available that connect to the USB
port or in parallel with the Keyboard.
These readers work out of box, and when a
barcode is scanned, the barcode data is "typed"
into the field containing the cursor.
Bluetooth allows these barcode wands to scan
barcodes from up to 50 ft away. These low
cost barcode readers work out-of-box with
Wireless scanners, using
either Wifi or cellular devices, are the right
solution for the mobile work force that
needs data at the point of activity:: combining
the power of a ruggedized barcode
terminal, cellphone and data
ERPlite has built in
tools for low cost integration of Wireless
scanners like WASP Inventory. Note
that Wasp Inventory v7 has built in integrations
with Quickbooks and Quotewerks....and ERPlite
has built in integration with Wasp Inventory
v7...thus, you have multiple choices as to the
best place to sync your barcode read
data. Note that ERPlite imports
inventory by location and serial/lot number,
whereas Quickbooks and Quotwerks do not.

Batch file sync is built into ERPlite. Many wireless barcode solutions have ODBC links which provide low cost, seamless integration. Talk to our support staff re the barcode solution you are interested in integrating to ERPlite.

For barcode labels to be
attached to product, you will need a barcode
label printer (see IDautomation or systemID
below. These printers come
with label creation software. The needed
Partnumbers etc for these labels can be
easily exported from ERPlite in a csv file and
imported into the label creation software.
