Almost all Barcode reading and labeling products can be used and easily
integrated with ERPlite (or an existing ODBC database).
Simple, inexpensive barcode readers are
available that connect to the USB port or in parallel with the
Keyboard. These readers work out of box, and when a barcode is
scanned, the barcode data is "typed" into the field containing the
cursor. Bluetooth allows these barcode wands to scan barcodes
from up to 50 ft away. These low cost barcode readers work
out-of-box with ERPlite.
Wireless scanners, using either Wifi or
cellular devices, are the right solution for the mobile work
force that needs data at the point of activity:: combining the power
of a ruggedized barcode terminal, cellphone and data
display/collection software.
ERPlite has built in tools for
low cost integration of Wireless scanners. Batch file sync is
built into ERPlite. Many wireless barcode solutions
have ODBC links which provide low cost, seamless integration.
