In ERPlite there are two types of work orders that can be created. The default type of work order is the "build-to-stock" work order that is created in the Work Orders form and has a WOxxxx tracking number. Work Orders can also be custom orders, where specific product(s) are built for a specific customer. These custom work orders are created in the Sales Order form, which will automatically appear in the Work Order form with an SOxxxx tracking number and are issued to the floor via the Work Orders form. When either work order type is completed, a WO Receive is completed to update inventory.
When creating work orders the user has a variety of options and functionality to choose from. At first it is advised that users follow the basic model for completing work orders.
