Import Peachtree data to ERPlite Tutorial

  Overview

  The following tutorial will demonstrate how easy it is to import data to ERPlite from Peachtree.

 

NOTES:

1. Double Quotes(ie ") cannot be used in any data (ie ItemID, Item Description, Customer Name).

2. Peactree Components cannot currently be imported to ERPlite.

 

1) Export the data from Peachtree into a .CSV file

 

Step 1: Open Peachtree with your company data.  Click on File> Select Import/Export

To export “Customer List”, select Accounts Receivable > Customer List > Click on the Export icon

 

 

Step 2: Then a window called Customer list will open

 

 

Filter tab: - The setting will leave to user decision

Options tab: - Check the Include Heading box (Don’t forget !!!!!!!)

- Select the desired output file pathname

Fields tab (the most important part):

Make sure that the Field name and Col# are exactly the same as shown

 

 

Customer List Fields Setting: Check the fields which are in the ERPLite. Here you have to check only below mentioned fields. Customer ID, Customer Name, Contact, Bill to Address-Line-One, Bill to Address-Line-Two, Bill to city, Bill to State, Bill to Zip, Bill to Country, Telephone 1, Fax number, Email Address. Fields should be in same order for error free export. Make sure fields are in the same order   as shown in the example below. If it is not in this below mentioned order, use Move tab to arrange it in the way, which is shown in the two example below.

 

 

Once the all setting are done, click the Save button, and save the current template as something like “ERPlite Customer List

 

Step 3:  Click OK to export the data.

(Since all the setting are saved, in all subsequent exports, you only need to open this template and click OK)

 

Now all you need to do the same thing for the following objects:

 

Accounts Payable> Vendor List

Payroll> Employee List

Inventory> Inventory Item List

 

Each object will have their own fields setting.  Also do not forget to check the Include Heading box

Once you have completed exporting your company’s data from Peachtree to .CSV file, now open the ERPLite and click on the QuickBooks/Peachtree >Peachtree Import in the switchboard.  

 

 

You will see the following screen:

 

 

Now press the Browse button to select your .CSV files. After you select the files, your screen will look like this.

 

 

Then press the Start Import button to import the files to ERPLite.  You have just imported your company data to ERPLite. Now if you check in the ERPLite database you will find your company data there!!!

For example, below is the Customer table screen before you import.

 

 

Now after you import, your customer table looks like this:

 

 

Notice that before the customer table had 11 records, after import, it has 78 records. Same way you can check Supplier, Employee and Item tables.
