MRPlitePlanner/ERPlite Import/Export Tutorial
Overview
This tutorial teaches the process for data interchange between ERPlite and MRPlitePlanner. The first section, uses the sample data shipped with ERPLite. Then, using your own custom data is covered.
NB: This tutorial assumes that the reader has completed an evaluation of MRPlitePlanner and is familiar with the terms and definitions. Consult the on-line help in MRPlitePlanner if you need a refresher.
Using MRPlitePlanner in companionship with ERPlite offers many advantages:
The basic data (parts, BOMs, routing lists etc) can be created and maintained in ERPlite, since the data is needed more often in ERPlite. This data is exported to MRPlitePlanner to perform MRP and capacity calculations.
Since much of the data needed by MRPlitePlanner does not change very fast. In subsequent planning cycles, it is only necessary to import the data that has changed.
In fact, if only a few items have changed, then the changes can be entered directly in MRPlitePlanner.
The Planned Purchased Orders and Work Orders, that result from a planning study in MRPlitePlanner, can be imported into ERPlite and acted upon without the need for double data entry.
