Tutorial: Job Costing

Overview

This brief tutorial will explain how costs are tracked through ERPlite, and demonstrate how to calculate job costs for specific projects.

Definitions

PP Number:
PP is an acronym for Project Plan. The PP number is used for tracking costs by Job or Project.
By using the Project Plan Reports form you can track all Purchase orders, Work Orders and Inventory Transfers for the specified project plan (PP#)

How to Track a Job/Project

Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Sales Orders, and Inventory Transfers all have a field called PP# that is used to track the project/job number.

  1. Create a purchase order:
