Tutorial: Customer Extra Ship To

Overview

When using ERPlite, there are times when dealing with large customers that may require the use of more than one shipping address, whether it is in purchase orders or in shipping orders. Using the Extra ShipTo functionality as described below, orders can be shipped to various locations while being billed to one customer only.

In this tutorial, you will add a second shipping address to one of our sample companies: THE TIN MAN

1. Open the Customers Form:
   Switchboard->Administration->Customers
2. Select a Customer:  Select THE TIN MAN from the lookup drop down list and click the Go button
3. Enter Another Shipping Address:
• Click the Ship TO Addresses tab
• Click the new button () at the bottom of the form
• Enter some information for the new shipping location (at least enter a Contact Name/Sublocation)

4. Use the new shipping location in a PO:
• Open the Purchase Order form: switchboard->Mfg Orders->Purchase Order
• Click the New button
• For Ship To, instead of using ~STORES, select THE TIN MAN from the drop down list
• You will see that you may choose either of the 2 locations that exist for THE TIN MAN

5. Use the new shipping location in a SO:
• Open the Sales Order form: switchboard->Sales/Ship->Sales Order (Estimate)
• Click the New button
• For Customer, select THE TIN MAN from the drop down list
• For Sublocation, you will see that you may choose either of the 2 locations that exist for THE TIN MAN
