In many companies Accounting is in a physically different location than Manufacturing, and they are not connected via a LAN.
If you are using batch links, which exchange data via text or excel files, as in Peachtree and Quickbooks IIF, then you can simply email the data back and forth.
With direct connections, like Quickbooks Live Link (XML) or Simply Accounting (ODBC), then a simple solution is to email the ERPlite datafile back and forth, coordinating so that no transactions are lost.
If a slow speed internet connection is availabe, say using VPN, then Synergations OpenShare can be used to link ERPlite to a remote copy of Quickbooks.
If you are using ERPlite in Citrix of Windows Terminal Services, then Quickbooks can be connected via Synergation OpenShare. Note that multiuser Quickbooks will not run in Citrix nor in Windows Terminal Services. Also, Quickbooks Online can be used via ERPlite in Terminal Services.
